Product description

The short explanatory video raises awareness of the topic of carcinogenic substances and the high number of unreported cases of occupational cancer. At the same time it appeals to employers and prevention experts as well as employees to face this problem together. The video gives a quick overview on how carcinogenic substances can be detected and which measures have to be taken for a safe handling of these substances. The STOP principle and the order of priority of protective measures are explained by way of example. The video is available on the AUVA YouTube channel http://www.auva.at/youtube in German and English.

Aims and objectives

Only those who know how to detect carcinogenic agents can safely handle these substances. The video is an appeal to be aware of whether or which carcinogenic substances are used in your own company and to take measures for safety and health. AUVA supports companies in this matter.

In many companies, there is still little knowledge about carcinogenic substances, their hazards and the right protective measures. The explanatory video raises awareness in this matter without spreading fear among employers or employees, but rather gives a recommendation for action. The video was developed as a launch of the AUVA campaign "Watch out, risk of cancer!" and was used in lectures, training courses and visits to AUVA companies.
